Jitsi and Jitsi Videobridge

During the past ten years Jitsi has travelled a long way from a proof of concept call application to arguably the most complete and feature rich FOSS communicator on the planet. The presentation would go through Jitsi's various flagship features, such as high quality audio/video calling, conferencing, call encryption, integration with Microsoft Outlook, on-line provisioning and many others. We will then present other technologies that the Jitsi community has been working on lately, such as the Jitsi Videobridge. In addition to being a hight quality lightweight video conferencing solution for SIP and XMPP agents, Jitsi Videobridge would soon also be usable as a central point in WebRTC or mixed video conferences. Finally, we would like to talk a bit about the CUSAX [0] initiative that is currently going through the final stages of standardisation on the IETF. With CUSAX, Jitsi and other agents can leverage feature rich telephony solutions based on SIP (such as FreeSWITCH) with the presence and instant messaging services offered by XMPP.
